Technical Business Development Engineer
As Technical Business Development Engineer, you will act as the technical and commercial lead during the pre-contract phase of customer engagements. Working closely with defence stakeholders, Product Management, Engineering and Business Development teams, you will identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions and help translate operational needs into innovative UAV capabilities.
You will play a key role in strengthening DeltaQuad’s position within the Dutch and European defence ecosystem, supporting customers throughout the solution development process and helping drive long-term business growth.
Key responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with defence organisations, military stakeholders and industry partners.
Identify new opportunities and develop tailored UAV capability solutions for defence customers.
Translate operational requirements into technical concepts and commercial proposals.
Support bid management, tender submissions and customer-specific solution development.
Lead and support demonstrations, evaluations and field trials with end users.
Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering and Business Development teams to drive capability development and business growth.

What we are looking for
8–15+ years of experience within defence, aerospace, UAV operations, military capability development or a related field.
Experience supporting complex bid processes and non-standard solution development.
Strong understanding of UAV systems, ISR operations and emerging autonomous technologies.
Familiarity with NATO capability development frameworks and/or European defence acquisition environments.
Ability to translate operational requirements into technical and commercial solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Commercially minded with a strong understanding of business development and customer value creation.
Fluent in English; additional European language skills are an advantage.
Existing network within the defence sector and/or eligibility to obtain security clearance is highly desirable.
