You will join a growing Finance team of five colleagues, with further expansion planned as the organisation continues to scale. Together, the team is continuously improving financial processes while increasingly leveraging AI and automation to work smarter and support the company's international growth.

The role

As a Junior Financial Controller, you'll be involved in virtually every aspect of the finance function. You'll ensure our financial administration is accurate and up to date while supporting month-end reporting, improving financial processes and helping the organisation scale internationally.

Working closely with experienced colleagues, you'll quickly take ownership and gradually develop towards an Assistant Controller role.

Your responsibilities

• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Process bank transactions and payments.

• Maintain purchase and sales administration.

• Support payroll administration.

• Prepare VAT returns.

• Maintain the financial administration of our international entities.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and perform financial checks.

• Support the month-end closing process.

• Assist with stock reporting and cost price calculations.

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, including the use of AI and automation, and help implement improvements as the organisation continues to grow.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, works accurately and is excited by working in a fast-moving scale-up environment.

You have:

• A Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Finance & Control, Accountancy, Business Economics or a related field.

• Approximately 1–2 years of relevant work experience.

• Strong communication skills.

• Fluency in both Dutch and English. As you'll work closely with Dutch suppliers and other local stakeholders, Dutch is essential for this role.

• A proactive, hands-on mindset.

• The ability to prioritise and adapt in a dynamic organisation.
